If you're at Lake of the Ozarks, and near Sunrise Beach Bar the town of Laurie, this is one great Mexican restaurant, and you will be amazed at the Quality and taste of their food.

We arrived close to their closing time and they couldn't have been nicer😊! Service was exceptional! Food was delicious. Attention to our every need, was terrific! Will definitely enjoy another visit again soon 💓!

Heaping helping of Mexican food and cuisine. There's a beautiful lake view from the west window seating. Desert pies are hand made, too, so, save room or eat dessert first !

After only mentioning the chips tasted burnt by every member of our party of six we were told we may want to eat somewhere else. BY THE OWNER.Poor decision on her part.We all got up and left. NEVER AGAIN!! Very disrespectful.

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for while. Have to say we won't be back. We ordered white cheese dip and was given the fresco dip which was $8, told waiter that's not what we ordered but it still wasn't taken off bill. Nachos looked like they were made in the microwave. Have never been charged for wanting extra chips. Extra chips should be a given. Very disappointing.

My husband and I have been going here for over 20 years. It was our "go to" place. Service is great. The waitresses and waiters are very pleasant and always takes good care of us and our 3 boys. Also, the cook is fantastic! Never had one bad meal.Larry and Linda and the rest of the Cantina crew are fantastic and you should go try them out when you are at the Lake of the Ozarks!!!

Came from another town to try sunrise out. Was very sad it wasn't worth the drive. My burrito was awful. My bowl of salsa had only about a spoonful in it. Prices were much higher then other places nearby.I will say though, our waitress was wonderful. If I had to go back it would only be for drinks and the server.

We walked in and it took a long time for service. It costs $1.00 extra for a tub of ranch for my salad and after the first basket of chips you pay $1.00 for everyone after that. The restaurant seemed not lively at all more like a stressful environment. There's 3 different gratuity calculations at the bottom of our receipt. We spent $28.00 on 2 sodas and a salad and 2 mini burritos and 1 enchilada and 1 tamale. There was a $4.00 food comp and I didn't even understand the receipt but my fiancee was so irritated we just paid it and left. We were told it was a great restaurant and were very dissatisfied. I dont recommend it to anyone.

Kind of pricey in my opinion. We spent $47.22 for two adults and one kids meal. My daughter didn't like the taco shell. We tasted it and I can see why. Prepackaged and in my opinion old tasting. Beans tasted canned. Cheese dip tasted just regular store bought. I can say husband's pulled pork grande burrito was huge. He said the meat was not seasoned at all. My daughter loves beans and rice and she barely ate it. In our opinion NOT worth the price. Seems to be pretty popular place though.

Social media? This restaurant has been in business 19 years! It's great food! You have a wait? There is a reason! If you didn't like your meal, let the restaurant know? No need to trash any restaurant. Overpriced, not at all for the area. Seasonal ! Very nice priced ď

Nice view & super friendly staff. For those who devour the chips & salsa...they are not bottomless. I got an ala cart pork flauta, which was very good.

This was some awesome Mexican food.. chips and salsa and cheese dip were great. Chicken enchiladas were fantastic. My wife got the mexican pizza which I think we could have split it was so big. Good food and service

Great place for lunch or dinner. Great Happy Hour on the bar side with beautiful lake views.

It was our go to place but the happy hour menu has changed as well as the restaurant's feel. Looking for a laid back place, not feeling it anymore.

Food was hot. Little too much cheese on the enchilada (is there such a thing? Lol). Was hard to find the enchilada under so much goo. Tamale was best I've had in a long time. Rice & beans were excellent.

It's a very neat and clean restaurant and the food is very good and priced right we go there pretty much once a week and love it! We own Lake view resort there in Sunrise Beach with 80 units on the water and we send a lot of people from there up to this restaurant because it's so good!

I did not hate it. I had a chicken taco salad and it missed flavoring. My friend had a burrito and it was lovely.

Atmosphere was ok. Typically, I stay away from Mexican restaurants who don't have Mexican owners and staff. We we visiting from out of town and took a gamble. We had Margarita's that were mediocre. The stringy cheese dip was good, just very messy. The chips were delicious and made in house.

Chunky salsa was excellent tasted very fresh. Service very good.

Wasn't as good as usual

It serves good Mexican food with fast and attentive service. I was there on a Saturday night. The place was full. Bar is off to the side. It has deem lighting which gives a romantic setting to take a date. Overall nice place. I'll be going back.

Mediocre food and horrible staff

We heard Sunrise Cantina was reopening and we were excited. We had gone way to long without great Meixcan food. We had our order to go...took it all the way back to Versailles to eat. Honestly don't know how the food made it all the back home. They didn't disappoint, my chicken fajitas was excellent and my spouse had the large chicken burrito which couldn't have been better. Thank You for finding a way to stay open. My feet are doing a HAPPY dance!!

Great place to stop in! We have been here several times on our lake trips. Staff is excellent and food was great.

I love Sunrise Cantina. The food is awesome. Try the Shrimp Chipotle Burito. It's so tasty.
